Third Goal: Bring the World Home

The third goal of Peace Corps is, "To promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans." With this online magazine, we hope to give Peace Corps staff and volunteers more opportunities to share their talents, successes and experiences in Colombia with a wider audience, both back home and abroad.

Editors’ Note

Welcome to the Evacuation Issue.

We’re proud to present to you Oíste’s Evacuation Edition. We’ve compiled stories from volunteers about being evacuated during Covid-19. They’re full of diverse recollections of events during that week in March, as well as reflections on our time in Colombia. We hope it will bring our whole PC Colombia community some healing and fuel to move forward during these difficult months.

Thanks for reading,
The Oíste Team
